OMM (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine)

Service Description

Dr. Hennessay is a physician who has additional, specialized training in a field of medicine called Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. While she went to residency at an M.D., or "allopathic" program, her medical degree is a D.O., or Doctor of Osteopathy, which spans across many different practice styles. Dr. Meg specializes in neck pain, neck and low back pain, TMJ (jaw) pain, and headaches / migraines, and tensions related to anxiety/depression/stress reaction. In the practice of OMM, the doctor can use techniques that involve directly contacting the painful or troublesome areas, applying focused treatment intended to help the body restore its natural, healthy state. This approach, either alone, or integrated into a traditional care model, can reduce or sometimes replace reliance on medications, which is always our goal at Hennessay Medical Group. You do *not* have to be a member of the Wellness Subscription model to book an appointment for OMM.
